Congratulations to Berkley! Berkley was crowned the 2025 Little Miss Hartford on Thursday, June 19th, 2025. Berkley is the daughter to Jeremy & Lexy. Berkley enjoys cheer, playing volleyball and softball and she also enjoys sewing. Berkley says it would be a fun experience to represent Hartford in parades. She is outgoing and likes to talk to lots of people.. Congratulations again to Berkley!
All girls who were in the 1st and 2nd grade this past school year and live in the West Central School district are encouraged to participate. The pageant will be held as part of the Jamboree Days festivities with the pageant being held on the Thursday before Jamboree Days. On that Wednesday evening, all contestants will meet the judges and participate in a rehearsal. We will be getting you more details about that week when we get closer to the date.
Being Little Miss Hartford is a great honor as well as a wonderful learning experience. As Little Miss Hartford responsibilities include representing Hartford in several Jamboree Day events with potential to participate in other Hartford events throughout the year. It will be lots of fun!

Please include a picture of the participant for the newspaper along with the entry form. The picture will be returned to you. 2025 Little Miss Judges:
- Lisa Shannon: Lisa resides in Sioux Falls where she currently works as a Property Manager for Cresten Properties, she is originally from South Florida. She grew up competing in pageants from the age of 4 and has won several titles over the years. She has held many International Pageant titles including Mrs. South Dakota International 2017, Ms. South Dakota International 2019 and this is her 9th year as a South Dakota International queen. As a 2025 Honorary Queen, she feels blessed to have another year to travel the state and continue to promote her platform of Motorcycle Safety Awareness. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the American Legion Riders and loves serving in her community.
- Alexandra Bechtel: Alexandra is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership and currently serves as a web strategist for a local marketing agency and web analyst for Patagonia. She leverages her expertise in marketing and leadership to help nonprofits around the world expand their reach and impact. Alexandra’s pageant journey includes winning Miss South Dakota International 2020 and Ms. South Dakota International 2024. Throughout her reign, she used her platform to amplify the mission of the nonprofit organization she founded in 2019. Her unique combination of business acumen, nonprofit leadership, and pageant experience brings valuable perspective to today’s judging panel.
- Katie Dixon: Katie resides in Colman where she currently works as the Director of Operations for Midwest Health Solutions. She is your former Ms. South Dakota International 2023 and spent that year promoting the importance of blood donation. Katie has been married to her husband, Ross, for 3 years. She has a 10-year-old stepdaughter and is expecting their first baby this year.
